Einladung Kick-Off Roundtable Awareness & Diversity Berlin – 29.01.2020

Im Jahr 2017 formierte sich innerhalb der Clubcommission der Arbeitskreis Awareness & Diversity, der sich damit auseinandersetzt wie möglichst sichere und vielfältige Umgebungen innerhalb der Club- und Festivalkultur geschaffen werden können. Die Zielsetzung einer diversen und diskriminierungssensiblen Clubkultur ist sehr anspruchsvoll und kann nur durch kontinuierliche Arbeit am Thema und einem offenen, konstruktiven Dialog mit allen Beteiligten funktionieren.
Nach verschiedenen bereits erfolgreich durchgeführten Maßnahmen in 2019, startet die Clubcommission gemeinsam mit dem Musicboard Berlin in diesem Jahr das Projekt „Awareness-Akademie“. Neben einer qualifizierten und informierten Anlaufstelle soll sie vor allem Plattform und Vernetzung für den Dialog zum geeigneten Modus der Awarenessarbeit im Kulturbereich, insbesondere in der Club- und Festivalszene darstellen. Im Zentrum steht dabei der Roundtable Awareness & Diversity, der als erweiterter Arbeitskreis alle zwei Monate Expert*innen und Akteur*innen der Berliner Clubkultur zum diskursiven Austausch an einen Tisch bringen soll.
Sehr gerne möchten wir euch zum Kick-Off des Roundtable Awareness & Diversity am 29.01.2020, ab 18 Uhr, in das Büro der Clubcommission (Brückenstraße 1, 10179 Berlin) einladen.
Zu Beginn möchten wir einen Einblick in den aktuellen Arbeitstand der Clubcommission im Bereich Awareness & Diversity geben und euch das Projekt „Awareness-Akademie“ näher vorstellen. Des Weiteren wollen wir ein paar Ideen für die Gestaltung des Arbeitskreises präsentieren, um dann von euch zu hören, was ihr für Vorstellungen habt, um dann gemeinsam den Ton und die Ziele für das Jahr zu setzen.
Wir freuen uns sehr auf das Zusammenkommen und den Austausch. Bitte gebt uns doch eine kurze Rückmeldung an awareness@clubcommission.de , ob ihr dabei sein könnt.
Ausserdem möchten wir euch an dieser Stelle auf unseren OPEN CALL für einen Grafik Designer im Rahmen unseres Projekts „Awareness Akademie“ hinweisen.
Mit Fragen und Anregungen könnt ihr euch jeder Zeit bei uns melden. Lasst uns ebenso sehr gerne wissen, falls euch noch Personen einfallen, für die diese Einladung noch von Interesse sein könnte bzw. wen wir bei diesem Diskurs auf jeden Fall dabei haben sollten.

Kick-Off Roundtable Awareness & Diversity Berlin – 29.01.2020
In 2017, the Awareness & Diversity working group was formed within the club commission, which deals with how to create as safe and diverse as possible environments within the club and festival culture. The goal of a diverse and discrimination-sensitive club culture is very demanding and can only work through continuous work on the subject and an open, constructive dialogue with all those involved.
After various measures that have already been successfully carried out in 2019, the club commission and the Musicboard Berlin are starting the “Awareness Academy” project this year. In addition to a qualified and informed contact point, it should above all be a platform and network for dialogue on the appropriate mode of awareness work in the cultural field, especially in the club and festival scene. The focus is on the Roundtable Awareness & Diversity, which, as an expanded working group, is supposed to bring experts and actors of Berlin club culture bi-monthly together for a discursive exchange.
We would very much like to invite you to the kick-off of the Roundtable Awareness & Diversity on January 29, 2020, from 6 p.m. in the office of the Club Commission (Brückenstraße 1, 10179 Berlin).
At the beginning, we would like to give an insight into the current status of the work of clubcommission in the area of Awareness & Diversity and introduce you to the project “Awareness Academy”. Furthermore, we want to present a few ideas for the design of the working group, to then hear from you what you have in mind, and then set the tone and goals for the year together.
